4 out of 5 people in the U.S. will be infected with cancer-causing HPV, with most cases occurring between the ages of 15 and 25. The HPV vaccine prevents 90% of HPV-related cancers and, crucially, is most effective when administered to preteens between the ages of 9-12 years old. I helped create this campaign to generate awareness for parents and healthcare providers about the importance of protecting kids early from this virus. When it comes to growing up, some things are closer than you’d think.
